Across Africa

Built In Nairobi,
For Learners Across Africa

Cognita is an online platform, so a learner in Nairobi, Kampala, Lagos, Accra, Dar es Salaam, Kigali or Johannesburg uses the same AI tutors, labs and courses. All it needs is a browser and an internet connection.

The Syllabuses African Schools Use

Kenyan schools follow the Competency Based Education (CBE) and, for the last 8-4-4 cohorts, KCSE. Across the continent, international schools and homeschoolers follow Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel and the IB. Cognita teaches all of them.

The tutors teach from the syllabus on the learner's profile, so a Cambridge learner in Lagos and a CBE learner in Kisumu each get their own curriculum.

Questions

Can I use Cognita outside Kenya?

Yes. Cognita is online and works in any country with an internet connection. Learners outside Kenya usually follow Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel or the IB, which Cognita teaches.

Does it work on a slow connection?

Lessons and tutors work on an ordinary mobile connection. 3D labs and simulations download more, so they run best on Wi-Fi.
