Questions
Which curricula does Cognita teach?
Cognita teaches the Kenyan Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), Cambridge Lower Secondary and IGCSE, and Pearson Edexcel. The AI tutors are grounded in the syllabus of the curriculum on the learner's profile, so a CBC student is taught CBC and an Edexcel student is taught Edexcel.
Can students revise for KCSE and KPSEA?
Yes, and it is worth being precise about how. Real past papers are loaded for KPSEA today: the practice buddy drills them question by question, marks each answer against the marking scheme and explains what went wrong. For KCSE, Cambridge IGCSE and Pearson Edexcel the subject tutors revise with you from the syllabus and set exam-style questions, while those past-paper banks are still being loaded.
What is the interactive whiteboard?
A real-time whiteboard shared between the learner and the AI tutor. The tutor writes, draws and works through problems on it live while it speaks, and the board history is kept so a student can scroll back through the lesson.
Do you support speech therapy and special needs learners?
Yes. Cognita includes speech and language therapy activities, an inclusive learning ladder and 3D lessons designed for autistic learners and students with additional needs, with a therapist view for the adult supporting them.
What can instructors and teachers do?
The instructor and teacher panel lets educators build custom lessons with AI assistance, drag 3D assets in from Sketchfab or their own Blender exports, assign work, monitor every learner's progress and publish courses other schools can enrol in.
Are there simulations and lab experiments?
Yes. Lessons generate interactive simulations and virtual practicals — circuits, reactions, anatomy, mechanics — built into the lesson itself, so a learner can change a variable, run the experiment again and repeat it as often as they need without a physical lab.
