CBE Grades

PP1
To Grade 12

Every grade of Kenya's CBE on one account: the learning areas of each band, a Mwalimu for each, the assessments at the end of Grade 6 and Grade 9, and the three Senior School pathways. The record follows a learner from PP1 up.

The Assessments

KPSEA at the end of Grade 6 and KJSEA at the end of Grade 9 are national assessments that decide nothing on their own but describe where a learner stands. The KPSEA Practice Buddy drills real questions; the tutors revise the strands the assessment covers.

A learner joining mid-way starts in their current grade. The tutor keeps to that grade's strands and can look back to fill a gap when asked.

Questions

Do you cover PP1 and PP2?

Yes: Language and Communication, Mathematical, Environmental, Psychomotor and Creative, and Religious Education Activities, with Mwalimu Grace Atieno.

What about Grade 10 to 12?

The Senior School page lists every subject with a tutor, by pathway: STEM, Social Sciences, Arts and Sports.

Where do the answers come from?

From the KICD curriculum designs, the schemes of work and the files you upload, and nothing else. Every Mwalimu is grounded in the strands and sub-strands of their learning area and band; they do not invent facts or pull from the open internet. Your syllabus and your files are the only truth they teach from.

Is it CBC or CBE?

The same curriculum. Kenya renamed Competency Based Curriculum to Competency Based Education; the learning areas, strands and the KPSEA and KJSEA assessments are unchanged. CognitaSTEM uses the current name.

Is this free?

A free account gives you the tutors with a daily allowance, the KPSEA Practice Buddy, the 3D labs and the parent dashboard. Premium adds unlimited tutor time; the pricing page has the current price in Kenyan shillings.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Everything runs in the browser on an ordinary smartphone over mobile data, including the 3D labs.
